Bin hire for students and landlords
Managing student property or moving out of your student house? During the summer moving out period (1 May – 30 July) you can hire an 1100-litre of 660-litre bin as part of the Students On The Move campaign! As the city’s household waste and recycling collection service provider, you can trust that we will collect, sort and recycle the contents safely and responsibly.
Key information
- bin hire is available between 1 May and 30 July
- delivery will be to a level surface on your property

Bin hire for other residents
Please note, bookings for 660l or 1100l bins are only available to students and student landlords, and only during the Students On The Move campaign. We hope to resume 1100l bin hire for other residents in the future.
In the meantime, household waste can be taken to one of Bristol’s three recycling centres for free or donated to the Reuse Shops. Alternatively, a collection service for bulky items can be booked and paid for through Bristol City Council.
Site clearances
The Bristol Waste commercial team also offer site clearances with a 7.5 tonne van or refuse collection vehicle. Prices for this and all commercial services are available on request by emailing commercial@bristolwastecompany.co.uk.
