Ellen Jones – Performance and Reporting Manager

Ellen is an environmental professional with a particular focus on waste and waste related issues. She is working to help ensure that Bristol Waste achieves its strategic business outcomes, focussing on delivering efficiencies and benefits including improved service user experience. Ellen acts as a champion for innovation and maintaining a continuous improvement culture across the organisation.


Gwen Frost – Development & Sustainability Manager

Gwen has been on the Resource Top 100 for the past two years, and it’s no wonder given her wealth of knowledge in the waste industry. At Bristol Waste, she works together with the development and operations teams to seek out new ways to improve the service delivery to residents and to support those working hard to make Bristol a ‘greener’ city by wasting less and recycling more. Gwen also has a passion for sustainability and works towards creating a sustainability culture within Bristol Waste and to ensure that these issues are given key consideration in all aspects of the company.


Emma Russell – Head of Communications, Marketing and Community Engagement

Emma looks after the Marketing and Communications team at Bristol Waste. She is responsible for brand management, internal and external communications and public relations. She has a team of three in Communications and Marketing, and three others working on Community Engagement and behaviour change projects across the city, encouraging residents to recycle and reuse more and waste less.
