Tony Lawless, Managing Director

Tony Lawless is responsible for the whole business and reporting back to the shareholder Bristol City Council. With over 25 years experience as a Senior Manager within operations and facilities management, Tony is a hands on operator and people manager with a strategic overview and a passion for quality and safety. He has a strong ambition is to make Bristol Waste a leading force in the waste and recycling industry, delivering the best possible service to the residents and businesses of Bristol.


Jason Eldridge, Operations Director

Jason is responsible for running Bristol Waste’s Operations. Jason has over a decade of experience in the waste management industry, both in operations and business development roles. He previously worked for Veolia Environmental Services as their Contracts Manager and was a Senior Project Manager at Biffa seeing through several high-profile works.


Adam Henshaw, Finance Director

Adam is responsible for the financial side of Bristol Waste Company. He is an experienced Finance Director with the ability to provide strategic guidance whilst still getting into the detail of the numbers. He is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) with over twenty years of experience in both the private and public sectors. He has a broad spectrum of industry knowledge including manufacturing, waste management, leisure, education, publishing, property, agriculture and public services.

As well as Finance, Adam heads up the support functions of Bristol Waste Company, leading the teams responsible for Performance and Reporting, Reuse, Contracts and Procurement, Human Resources, Learning and Development and IT.

One of Adam’s more unusual and interesting prior roles was as the first Director of Financial Services for Ascension Island Government. Where, he introduced a public taxation system to the Island and helped to create a fledging private sector through the commercialisation of government assets.
